General Information
Logos students come from a wide range of nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds. The Logos student body consists largely of Cambodian children and children of missionaries from various countries. Some of the twenty-one nationalities represented at Logos include Cambodian, American, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Finnish, Canadian, Singaporean, Malaysian, and Australian. Enrollment is generally limited to no more than 40% of any one nationality in order to preserve the international balance of the student population.
Logos International School is dedicated to academic excellence in providing a well-rounded, quality, Christian education to students from all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. L.I.S. does not discriminate in its admission policy based on race, national origin, religion, or sex, however, religious orientation may be considered when necessary in order to maintain the strong Christian culture of the School. Though not required to be Christian, parents of students at L.I.S. should have a clear understanding of the biblical philosophy and purpose of L.I.S. This understanding includes a willingness to have their child exposed to the clear teaching of the school’s Statement of Faith in various ways within the school’s program.
Children must be five years of age by August 1st of the current school year to be eligible for Kindergarten and six years of age by August 1st of the current school year to be eligible for First Grade. These ranges reflect the general age criteria for each grade level.
Every attempt will be made to place children in the grade levels for which they are applying. However, if through assessment tests or other evidence, it is determined that the child may not be adequately prepared in school work or behavior for the next sequential grade level, the school may make other determinations. Logos reserves the right to not admit/re-admit any student if it is determined by the administrator that enrollment would not be in the best interest of the school, the family, or the child.
Logos strongly believes in the partnership of school and family. In this context, the child should understand and be subject to the instruction and discipline of the teachers and administrator, as they function in their prescribed roles at L.I.S. Parents should be willing to cooperate with all written policies of L.I.S., most importantly in the areas of discipline and school-work standards.
Families who are delinquent in payment of tuition to L.I.S. or who have outstanding balances at another private school are not eligible for enrollment at Logos International School.
How to Apply
The initial application will be considered complete when you have submitted the following:
- Completed application form
- Last 2 years report card records/transcript
- Copy of passport and picture
- Vaccination Records
- Application fee of $50 (Pay application fee online)
Due to the limited space in each grade level, there is typically a waiting list. We will contact you when a spot opens up. At that time we may set up an interview, and give the student an admissions test (reading fluency, comprehension, writing, math). Students are expected to meet grade level.
Missionary Discount
As one of the key missions of Logos International School is to support the ministry of missionary organizations in Cambodia, by offering a quality Christian education to their families, missionary organizations may apply for the Logos Missionary Organization Discount. The families that are part of a mission organization that qualifies for the Missionary Organization Discount may be eligible for a ten to twenty-five percent discount on tuition.
If you are interested in the families of your organization receiving the Missionary Organization Discount at Logos have the regional director of your organization complete the Logos Missionary Organization Form. This form can be dropped off in person at our office, or scanned and emailed to office@logoscambodia.org. We will reply to you shortly as to the status of your application.
If you are an individual missionary, not a part of any specific organization, please complete Individual Missionary Discount Form, and return it to the Logos office.
