Logos students work in groups and teams in many situations in and outside of the classroom. Students are learning to collaborate with one another at the same time as they are learning other skills. Collaborative learning has been shown to not only develop higher-level thinking skills in students, but boost their confidence and self-esteem as well. Group projects can maximize educational experience by demonstrating mastery and presenting the material, while improving social and interpersonal skills.
During PE teams are often used as well. Teamwork learned during Physical Education classes complements group work in the classroom. Team sports help students to learn how to work together toward a common goal, promote healthy competition, and good sportsmanship.
We have seen our older students setting an excellent example in this during their Volleyball and Basketball matches with other schools recently. They are always commended for their sportsmanship, resilience and good attitude as well as their sporting skills!
