We recently received this message from ACSI – ”It is our pleasure to notify you that the ACSI Commission on Accreditation for International Schools has awarded reaccreditation to Logos International School. Accreditation is for Kindergarten through Grade 12 and is effective July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2028.’ Here is the official letter from ACSI and an official letter from WASC as well.

Thank you all for your support during the accreditation process!  It was wonderful to be able to share what God is doing here at Logos.

From the Visiting Team:

Statement of Appreciation to the School

The accreditation team wishes to express its deep appreciation to the Logos International School staff for the outstanding preparation for our visit. The preparation of the self-study was thorough and transparent in its self-evaluation. LIS will be remembered by all of us for its missional focus, its gracious spirit, and comfortable transparency. We consider it a blessing and encouragement to have been a part of Logos International School for these days where we have been virtually with you. MENU FOR AUGUST

SWIMMING LETTER

Hello parents!

My name is Mrs Pasowicz (Mrs. P) and I will be your child’s swimming teacher. Nakru Moneath and Mr. Ennio will also help teach your child to swim! We are looking forward to this year very much as with Covid, there has been a lot of time where students haven’t been able to swim.
We will be starting swimming lessons in Week 4 of school (Monday 22nd of August). Here are some things your child will need to bring to school on their swimming day:

Swimming suit (one that covers the waist)
Towel
Water bottle

Any other thing like goggles and earplugs are optional and are not a requirement.
If your child is too sick to swim, they must have a parent note with a good reason. It is important that your child attends every swimming lesson if they are well enough to do so.
Behavior Policy: Students get 1 warning if they are disrespectful or not listening and following the teacher’s instructions. If they continue to misbehave, they will be asked to change early and will be given out of water activities to complete.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at epasowicz@asianhope.org

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

Why does my child have to be free of fever for 24 hours before returning to school?

In response to an infection, the fever develops when our immune system is activated. A fever is our body’s way of fighting off invasive pathogens. Even after a fever breaks, a child’s immune system is still weak. Therefore, a child should continue to stay home and rest until after 24 hours free of fever without the use of medications for the following reasons:

Allow the immune system to recuperate, so the child does not catch something else while at school.
Protect other children from catching what the child had as it is still quite contagious during this time period.
Adequate rest speeds up the recovery process.
