Logos Campus Reopening Update
The Ministry of Education and Youth Sports informed us that schools will remain closed to students until further notice. We will let you know when they allow us to reopen. If we are unable to reopen campus to students by January 4, 2021, we will start semester 2 online on January 4.
Report Card Pick Up
Students can pick up their report cards in the Logos parking lot near the moto parking on Friday, December 18, between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. Secondary students and parents can also access report card information on RosarioSIS on Friday, December 18. If students are unable to pick up their report cards on December 18th, they will be available in the Logos office beginning January 4th. When students are allowed to return to campus, we will hand out any remaining report cards.
Logos Campus and Office hours:
Our campus remains closed at this time. The Logos office is open each school day from 7:30-4:30. Logos International School will celebrate Christmas and New Years with a 2 week holiday.
The School office will close:
- at 12 noon on Friday, December 18, 2020
The School office will reopen:
- at 7:30AM on Monday January 4th, 2021
We wish you all a happy, safe and peaceful holiday.
Secondary Schedule Changes for Semester 2
Beginning January 4th, Logos students in Grades 6-12 will no longer be on the A & B class schedule. We will revert to our class schedule from last year. Students will have each class for 65 minutes 3 times a week, and all students will be on campus every day. In the event that the government closes schools and we are online, we will shorten the schedule to 40-minute ZOOM classes ending by noon with a ½ day of independent work in the afternoons. This is similar to the schedule we had from March through May of last school year. We hope that this schedule change will help students who do not complete their at-home learning assignments remember that they need to engage in school work and learning every day. Check Out Our New Schedule and Timetables
In the event that the government reopens schools but restricts class sizes to 15, we will consider returning to the A & B day schedule.
Secondary Homework Expectations
When we return to school on campus, secondary students will have fix 65-minute classes per day, and each class three times per week. Therefore, we will be making an adjustment to our homework expectations.
Teachers are not required to give homework, but they may provide independent homework outside of class.
- Total homework for all classes should not exceed
- Grade Six: 60 minutes a night
- Grade Seven: 70 minutes a night
- Grade Eight: 80 minutes a night
- Grade Nine: 90 minutes a night
- Grade Ten: 100 minutes a night
- Grade Eleven: 110 minutes a night
- Grade Twelve: 120 minutes a night
If classes are conducted online, students will attend five 40-minute Zoom classes per day ending around noon. Teachers may provide up to 30 minutes of independent learning activities or homework per class. If students work diligently on their assignments in the afternoon without too many distractions or breaks, they should be able to complete their homework in a maximum of two to two and a half hours. (i.e. from 1:00 pm to 3:30pm).
Early Years and Elementary
In the event of the MoEYS’ decision to keep schools closed until further notice, report cards are to be collected on Friday, December 18th, between 7:30am – 11am at the Secondary gate. Should students be allowed back on campus Thursday and Friday, then report cards will be sent home with students.
* To be confirmed via email.
2nd Semester begins Monday, January 4th. Please check emails closer to the time regarding on campus or online learning.
We wish to extend a big thank you to parents and students for your hard work, support and understanding during this challenging 1st Semester.
Have a restful break, merry Christmas and a happy start to the new year! May you be blessed abundantly.

School cafeteria lunch
We have decided that Logos will not provide school cafeteria lunch until the spring semester 2021. This means if students are on campus next week, they must bring lunch from home with them. As soon as students are back on campus in the spring semester we will communicate the details of how and when our lunch service will begin.
