A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE
Phnom Penh has been experiencing an increase in Culex mosquitoes since early January 2025. Culex mosquitoes are known to spread diseases like West Nile Virus and Japanese Encephalitis. To protect yourselves, please take the following precautions:
- Eliminate standing water.
- Use mosquito repellent.
- Ensure windows and doors have screens. If there are no screens, please keep them close.
- Wear protective clothing, such as long sleeves and pants.
- Use mosquito nets while sleeping.
- If all else fails, an electric mosquito zapper will do the trick! They are available in stores, such as Makro.
