MENU FOR JANUARY

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

Out from our mouths came words that lit up the room and something else…

This week, as our students are learning, let us remind them about the recurring threat of sore throat.

As the dry season returns, sore throats caused by bacteria and viruses can be common.

Through good hygiene and mindfulness, we can help our students fight and prevent it in our school community.

Strep throat seems to be common at this time of year. We can catch it via respiratory droplets and direct contact.

So, covering our sneezes and coughs will keep the bacteria/virus at bay. Wearing a face mask if a student is not feeling 100%. Frequent hand washing will help prevent the spread.  Sharing water bottles and food is not ideal.

Sharing is good, but sharing strep throat is not love.

If a student is sick, make sure he/she visits a doctor for the right treatment and stays home. Let us keep the Logos community well and healthy together.
