Secondary Topics
We shared about the Secondary Topics during the August Principal Parent meeting. Thank you so much for your engagement and follow-up questions. The semester schedule for Topics is on this week’s Lighting New Flash. Please have a look!
What are Topic Periods?
Students have the opportunity to learn and develop important life skills that may not directly be dealt with during other subject areas.
Who teaches them?
Many in-house faculty will be facilitating the sessions. This semester, Mrs. Stanley, Mrs. Pasowicz and the counseling team will be facilitating most of these sessions.

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE
The flu, or influenza, is a respiratory illness that can cause fever, runny nose, body aches, and cough. It is caused by the influenza viruses. The most common strains of seasonal flu are type A and B influenza. The best way to protect against the flu is through annual vaccination. The influenza vaccine is not mandatory but is highly recommended to those who are at high risk for complications related to the infection, such as young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. You can obtain the influenza vaccine from any clinic of your choice.
