ELEMENTARY

MAP testing for grades 1 through 5 will start on Monday, August 28th, and finish on Friday, September 1st. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s rest, eat breakfast before school and pack a healthy snack.

Thank you, parents, for leaving campus by 8:00 am so the students aren’t distracted while walking to class, and the teachers can start the day immediately. We know this is a change from past years, so we are truly thankful for your continued support!

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

REMINDER OF TRAFFIC FLOW

We are aware of the heavy traffic outside the school, particularly between 3:00 pm and 3:20 pm. Our Logos employees are there to help direct traffic and parking. Please follow their guidance.

We suggest approaching the school from the north (via Mong Reththy – Street 1928) and departing south (past TPO or towards Street 1986) to help ease traffic flow. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

MENU FOR AUGUST

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

During the first two to three weeks of back to school, students have to adjust to the routine of getting up early and interacting with new environments as well as with each other. Those with weaker immune systems can be prone to contracting illnesses from the community. At Logos, we promote clean hands and instruct the students to wash their hands frequently. Hand-washing is the best way to break the chain of infections.

If a student is unwell and needs to stay home, please notify our office via a phone call before 08:00 AM or email your child’s teacher and me (ssor@asianhope.org) early in the morning. Remember, students with a high fever should not return to school until fever-free for 24 hours with the use of fever-reducing medication.
