THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT

On Friday 12th August we were pleased to welcome so many parents to school for ”Back to School Night”! Thank you for coming and finding out a little more about what your child / children will be learning this year. The teachers really appreciated meeting you and finding out a little more about you and your family. For those who didn’t manage to attend here are the slides from the introductory session led by the Logos Leadership Team.  Please check in with your child’s / children’s teacher / teachers if you need any further information about this year in their class.

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

Why does my child have to be free of fever for 24 hours before returning to school?
In response to an infection, the fever develops when our immune system is activated. A fever is our body’s way of fighting off invasive pathogens. Even after a fever breaks, a child’s immune system is still weak. Therefore, a child should continue to stay home and rest until after 24 hours free of fever without the use of medications for the following reasons:

Allow the immune system to recuperate, so the child does not catch something else while at school.
Protect other children from catching what the child had as it is still quite contagious during this time period.
Adequate rest speeds up the recovery process.
