History Day Judges

To our dear staff and parents,

On May 13, 2022, the secondary students will be presenting their projects for History Day and we are looking for 4 judges!

Judges do not need to have historical knowledge! The students are the ones who will inform you about their chosen historical event!

If you are interested to be one of the judges, please contact:

Mrs. Cristina Skogen cskogen@asianhope.org or Mr. Luis Ortiz lortiz@asianhope.org

LOGOS GRADUATION

REMINDER ABOUT TRAFFIC FLOW

We know how busy the road outside school gets – especially from 3:00 to 3:20pm.

We have one of our Logos employees there to try to help direct traffic and parking, please follow his requests.

We find that it eases the situation if everyone can approach from the NORTH with the school on their right-hand side (ie.  come in from Mong Reththy – Street 1928) and then depart from the school to the SOUTH (out past TPO or towards Street 1986)

SCHOOL FEES

Please make sure that your fees are fully settled for this academic year.  Thank you to those of you who have faithfully paid on time – this has allowed us to meet all of our commitments and expenses promptly.

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

What is food poisoning?

Food that is not cooked, prepared or stored properly harbors bacteria or toxins that can cause food poisoning. Symptoms of food poisoning, such as diarrhea and vomiting, usually appear within 24 hours after eating contaminated food. However, some food may also take days before symptoms appear.

To avoid food poisoning, ensure to clean your hands and work surfaces before, during, and after meal preparation. Remember to always separate raw meat away from vegetables and cooked food items. Meat and seafood should be cooked thoroughly, and leftovers stored in the fridge immediately.

Symptoms of food poisoning include diarrhea and vomiting, causing the individual to lose a significant amount of water. Furthermore, it is very important to drink plenty of water during this time. If you feel sick, take frequent small sips of water instead of a large amount at a time. Click Here to read more about food poisoning.

BUILDING PROGRESS

Although the guys have been working hard, we don’t see much progress outwardly … a lot of time has been spent plastering and preparing the final wall surfaces ready for painting.

The AC guys are ready to move in at the end of May to install and Security cameras, internet and fire protection are already lined up ready for installation.  Still have to make some final decisions on the lab furniture.  Tiles have been delivered and we get ready to lay them.
