Changes in the Leadership Team for next school year

It has been wonderful this year to have Brad Barrett leading the secondary team, building relationships and supporting the teaching and learning in the secondary school. PLCs and professional development have been part of his remit and he has done a super job alongside continuing to work with and advocate for the secondary students.  Brad has done this as an interim role and will hand over to the new Secondary Principal for next year. We have so appreciated all that Brad has brought to the leadership team.

Next year, Tamra Stanley will take over the Secondary Principal role from July during orientation of new teachers. Tamra has been a teacher leader this year and worked with Brad. Happily we are not losing Brad, he will continue as a teacher leader to support Tamra. He will continue to teach, mentor and support PLCs and professional development.

We feel this is a win-win situation and look forward to working together as a Leadership Team next year.

We are continuing to look for an Operations Manager to take over from Andy Gordon next year. Andy has done a great job in developing the campus, including overseeing the building of the new wing as well as developing the day to day routines of the school and working with the support staff. We hope that he can return to being Head of Special Educational Needs next school year.

LOGOS GYM

Last Thursday we “officially” took receipt of our gym floor – looking very smart and clean។
Please remember that no outdoor shoes will be allowed on the new surface – please make sure you bring the correct footwear!

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

March and April are two of the hottest months in Cambodia. Many students have been reporting recurrent headaches and abdominal pain due to inadequate water intake. Students must bring water bottles with them from home. If they choose not to refill their water at school, make sure their bottles are large enough to last all day.

BUILDING PROGRESS

Plenty of activity – there are lot’s of walls to plaster and this seems to be keeping a number of people busy!
Hopefully making paint and tile choices in the near future.
