LOGOS’ WASC / ACSI ACCREDITATION PROCESS
Logos has completed the accreditation visit for ACSI and WASC. The visiting team were so encouraging to work with and were a blessing to us. They praised the staff and faculty for their flexibility and resilience. They noticed their care and support for all students during lesson observations.
We are very thankful to the LPA parents who were willing to meet the team and share their perspective on the school.
The final review last Friday was excellent. There were many commendations for the school and only three major recommendations. Most schools receive at least five. The visiting team is recommending a full six year accreditation with both ASCI and WASC. This won’t be confirmed until some time in June.
We will receive a full report which we will share with all parents once we receive it.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
We give glory to God for what He has accomplished in us and through us all.
‘Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.’ Matt 5:16
MENU FOR THE COMING DAYS
Gym is “OUT OF ACTION”
Starting Monday the Gym will be out of action for almost two weeks as the new playing surface is laid. We have raised the floor and given it a gentle incline and look at a new textured surface being put down.
We’re so looking forward to the refurbished gym.
Some PE may be taking place on the field next week so remember your HATS to protect from the strong UV rays (Logos caps still available from the office priced at $3)!

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE
When to End Isolation If You Test Positive with Symptoms (According to the CDC and the Ministry of Health in Cambodia)
If you test positive for Covid, you need to isolate yourself immediately. It is recommended that you stay in a separate room and use different utensils from other members of your household. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends ending isolation after 5 days if symptoms have improved and fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication. The first day of symptoms or positive test is counted as day zero. Therefore, from the day of symptoms or positive test to the end of isolation is a total of 6 full days.
The Ministry of Health (MoH) in Cambodia recommends that the general public should isolate for 7 days. If they have been symptom-free for the past three days, they can perform a rapid antigen test on day 7. For the fully vaccinated, isolation ends on day 7 if they test negative and do not have symptoms (also a total of 6 full days).
Our school’s guideline is consistent with both the CDC and MoH. Remember, if you continue to have symptoms and test positive after day 7, you need to continue to isolate yourself. If your symptoms have improved but still test positive, please re-test yourself after 48 hours.
To keep our community safe, we rely on honest reports and clear communication from everyone. If a member of your family tests positive, please keep your child home and notify me via ssor@asianhope.org.
