From the Elementary Principal

One of the clearest lessons I have learned since coming to Logos is that God does indeed bring us all here, the teachers, the students, the families.  In I Cor. 12:18 it says, “But if fact, God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.” He moves us in, out, and wherever He wills.

Nonetheless, it is with a great degree of sadness that I must share that He is now leading my wife and I to leave Logos.  We will continue in our positions until the end of the school year, and then return to the United States in June, to Alaska, where half of our children and grandchildren live.  In the meantime, it is our goal to give God honor through all that we do here.

My wife, Kirsten, and I never felt that our calling to Logos was a long-term placement, but rather we were filling a specific need at the time.  We leave now in a manner that will hopefully allow the Asian Hope leadership time to thoroughly explore options for our replacement.

We fully expect to return to Cambodia, serving in a short-term capacity.  We love Cambodia and prayerfully seek God’s blessing for you all.
Best,
Mike Belloni

Sad News – Sophal Mek

We are saddened to inform you that our former Khmer teacher, Sophal Mek, died Sunday evening after a difficult battle with cancer. Sophal was an excellent teacher who cared deeply about Christ and her students. We are thankful for her four years of service to Logos, and we will miss her very much. Please join us in praying for her husband, Chhrorn Sorn, and her family, as they grieve her loss.

If your student is struggling with the loss, our teachers, admin team, and school counselor are all available to assist students as they process the loss.
We have placed a donation box in the Logos office if you would like to contribute toward Sophal’s medical bills, her funeral expenses, and her son’s education.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
