Middle School Chapel and High School Chapel were lead by our CEO, Paul Tesi.

Secondary Parent Teacher Conference Sign-Up

October 24-25, Logos will host fair-style Parent-Teacher Conferences for parents of students in grades 6-12.  All secondary and specials teachers will be available in the Multipurpose Room. Parents can stop by and chat with any of their student’s teachers on Thursday from 3:30 to 6:00 or on Friday from 1:00 to 4:00. If you are planning to attend, please complete this sign-up form. Signing-up allows teachers time to prepare to discuss your child’s progress. If you do not sign-up, you may still attend, but teachers may not be as prepared to discuss your child.

Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences

Elementary Parent-Teacher conferences will also be held on Thursday afternoon, October 24th, from 3:30 – 6:00 pm; and on Friday, October 25th, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm – in your student’s classroom.  This is a time for you to talk with your student’s teacher about how they are progressing so far this year. Unless specifically requested by the classroom teacher, these meetings are designed to be between the parents and the teacher and are not a time for student participation.
Elementary Parents: please contact the Logos front office to schedule a time:  017 473 515, office@logoscambodia.org.

Note from Nurse

Continuing our discussion about childhood illness with the changing seasons, let’s talk about Skin and Eyes. Last year in October, I began to notice children showing up at the Nurse Health room with itchy skin, dry lips and/or eyes. Some of these symptoms are related to the lower humidity which contributes to dry skin that stings or is itchy when the child sweats. Using a daily moisturizing lotion will help along with increasing our water intake.

The main culprit for itchy eyes is also related to the drier weather. During our rainy season the streets get flooded with water which leaves behind dirt as it dries out. Then motos and cars drive on the roads and crush up the dirt into small particles that get into the air and bother our eyes (and noses). Most of time saline rinse is all that is needed to clear the eyes of irritation. Rarely does this lead to infection but be aware of the signs and symptoms of bacteria eye infection that lead to purulent discharge and red eyes. If you are not sure, stop by the Health Office and we can review the different diagnosis of a red eye. Wearing helmets, protective eyewear and face mask can help reduce this irritation.
