We have conducted a teacher survey, and an informal poll of students around Logos. The results are in. An overwhelming majority of both teachers and students would like to see more time between the chapel and devotion. One of the main reasons was a desire to become more involved if there was more time in between chapel and small group devotions. Giving more time to both students and teachers will extend to everyone the opportunity to become involved, as well as being able to better prepare for both devotions and chapel.
Therefore, when we return in 2012, the compressed schedule will be every week on Thursday only. Accordingly, we will alternate weeks between chapel and small group devotions. The first Thursday (12 Jan 2012), when we return to school will be chapel, the next week devotions, the next week chapel, etc…
If there are any questions please feel free to contact me. Also, if you as a student would like to participate, or your class would like to lead, or be a part of chapels – please let Ms. Roberts, Mr. Ketchum, or myself know. If you have an interest in, and would like to help Ms. Harris with all her funny, kooky, crazy games and activities for chapel, she would like to talk with you. And Mr. Koslov is always looking to recruit willing hearts and minds to become a part of the talented techteam who run all the electronic gadgets that make things work. I am looking forward to a wonderful second semester as we continue to worship the Lord together and encourage each other to love and good works.
Thank You all,
Mr. Jones
