Jog-A-Thon, This Friday

Only two more days to go until the Jog-A-Thon!  You still have time to get your last minute money submitted to the office and be eligible for some great prizes.  There is quite the race between a few classes for top honors!  The actual event will start at 8:30 in the gym.  Pre-k through grade 2 will run in the gym, grade 3-5 will run around the field and grade 6-12 will run outside on the dirt roads.  There will be prizes for the top Male and Female student from grade 3 through grade 12.  In addition, we will hold the drawing of the lucky tickets right after the running is done.  Be sure to come out and support the runners!

How to donate to the Jog-a-thon on-line:

• Go to our parent organization’s homepage, Asian Hope (www.asianhope.org) and click the “Donate” section on the top right of the home page.
• On the next page that appears, click on the “Donate” image in the middle of the web page.
• Complete all sections marked with a red asterisk on the “Personal Information” section.
• Under the “Please Select an Option” section, click on “Donation”, not pledge.
• Under the section “Please Direct My Donation To” choose “Jog-A-Thon”.
• A new field will appear labeled “Student’s Name(s)”.  In the space provided type the name of the student being sponsored

Early Release Day on Wed. November 30th

Over the course of this school year, the teachers at Logos will be engaged in some professional development activities and planning activities that are related to our ACSI / WASC accreditation.  In order to accomplish the goals we have for the faculty,we will have five Early Release days to facilitate meeting times.  On each of these days school will close at 12:00 noon, and students will be required to be off campus at 12:30pm.  No lunch will be served on those days, and the school vans will leave the campus at 12:15 to take students home.  Please ensure that you make the appropriate arrangements for your children on those days.  There will be no after-school program available for children on Early Release days.  Please note that the next  Early Release day is Wednesday, November 30th.  The subsequent early release days are Jan. 25th,March 28th,and April 25^th

Dress Up Your Friends!

Want to see your friends in goofy costumes?  Middle/high school students can buy tokens at lunch in the name of a student or teacher whom they would like to see dressed up. Each token costs 1000 riel and has the name of the friend you choose. The more tokens you buy, the more chances you’ll have that your friend’s name will be chosen. But things could get interesting, because they can also pay to have their tokens removed!  On Tuesday, December 6, we will randomly draw tokens to select one student per grade, as well as one male and one female teacher. The 11th graders will prepare funny costumes which the “winners” will wear that day.  All proceeds go toward banquet.

…….is hosting our first Dual meet against Hope School Today at 3:15 at Logos.  Please come and cheer on our swimmers!

High School Service Trips Next Week

Just a reminder to all high school students and families that the high school students will not be in regular classes next Monday or Tuesday as they will be off on a variety of service projects in the Phnom Penh area and the Province.  Please be praying for the students and their leaders as they go and share God’s love with the many groups that they will be working with.

Logos Calendar Changes

We’ve recently split out the LOGOS INTERNATIONAL calendar to help clean up some of the clutter, and to give you some more power over what you access and when.

Logos Events - is a big picture calendar, it contains all the big events like breaks, holidays and things the public might be interested in knowing about (Christmas concert and what not)

Logos - is a more fine-grained calendar, includes things like afterschool program schedules and A/B days

This change will only affect users who have previously added the LOGOS INTERNATIONAL calendar to their own Google Calendars.

As always, you can access the Logos calendars at: http://logoscambodia.org/?page_id=23 or by clicking on “Monthly Calendar” from the http://www.logoscambodia.org main page.

Effective immediately, the old calendar will no longer be updated and will eventually be removed. If you have previously subscribed to our Google calendars, please follow the instructions below to ensure that you can stay up to date.

2) Click the small +Google Calendar button in the lower right hand corner

3) Confirm which calendars you want to add

Many thanks to all who performed in this year’s Talent Show and made it the great event it was! You were ALL amazing – you made it truly ‘out of the box’ unique and creative! In so many ways this year we saw and heard how much the hearts of the students were to glorify God and not themselves, going after His highest.
