한국어 교실과 한국 학교의 병행
한국 공동체에 많은 도움이 되기 위해, 로고스는 두 개의 방법을 염두에 두고 있습니다. 첫 번째로, 저희는 현재의 시간표에 한국어 과목을 추가하는 방법이 있는데, 이 과목은 한국인들만을 위한 것으로, 한국의 역사와 문화를 한국어와 함께 배우게 될 것이라고 봅니다. 한국어 수업은 초등학생부터 고등학생까지 허용될 수도 있지만, 저희가 이 커리큘럼을 발전시키기에 앞서 저희는 한국 공동체의 의견과 관심이 결정적으로 필요합니다. 두 번째 의견은 한국 공동체와 함께 작은 한국어 학교를 설립하여 로고스와 그 학교를 병행하면 어떨까라는 것입니다. 로고스는 이 두 개의 방안을 고려하고 있으나, 한국 공동체의 도움을 받지 않는 한 이 계획이 제대로 실행되지 않을 것을 알고 있습니다.
10월 20일 목요일 오후 1:30에 306호 에서 회의를 열어 이 계획에 대하여 이야기를 나누고 싶습니다. 만약 학부모님들이 많은 관심을 보여주신다면 저희는 계속 이 계획을 진행시키는 데에 노력을 하겠지만, 많은 관심이 없을 경우에 저희는 이 계획 둘 중에 하나, 또는 둘 다 중단할 계획입니다. 만약 이 계획이 실행 되기를 원하신다면 이 회의에 꼭 참석해주시기 바랍니다.
Dear Korean Parents,
In order to better serve our Korean community, the Logos administration is considering two new initiatives. First, we are considering adding Korean language classes to our existing schedule of classes. The Korean language classes would be intended for native Korean speakers, and would incorporate Korean history and culture within them. These classes could potentially be done for elementary, middle school and high school Korean children. However, before we spend further time developing such a program, it is critical for us to have feedback from the Logos Korean community to determine your thoughts on this matter. The second issue I would like to discuss with the Korean community is to see if there is an interest in having Logos develop a small second school for Korean students. Logos administration is considering the idea, but we would not move forward on any such plan without receiving input from the Korean community. I would like to meet with as many Korean parents as possible on Thursday, October 20th at 1:30pm in room 306 to discuss these two topics. If there is enough interest, we will continue to move forward on one or both of these initiatives. However, if there is no interest from the Korean community, then one or both initiatives will be dropped. Your attendance at this meeting is imperative if you wish to see either of these programs developed!
