I certainly don’t want to intentionally overlook this exciting terrific week and look ahead too quickly by forgetting to mention the wonderful Joseph production that is taking place all this week. Yet in a flash, next week Friday 2pm will be the 2010-11 Graduation Ceremonies at Logos. That’s right- Graduation. In a flash this monumental event is coming fast and furious. This will be the 4th graduating class for Logos International School and we are excited to present this class to you. In order to find out how many people will be attending- we are asking that you pre-order your graduation tickets in advance. Information is available below in the Wednesday Update.
I also thought that on the theme of graduation I should share about a recent Logos graduate from our class of 2009-10 Sureyah Tach. Sureyah is currently studying in Canada at Trinity Western University and presently in his 2nd year of the nursing program. I will just give an update I recently received from his homestay parents, I think it is OK if I share a portion of it. It is all great news:
“Sureyah has had a good year. His grades have been Bs and Cs. He thinks that SoPari (FYI a current Logos student) will do better as he thinks she is brilliant! We are aware of Pari coming. Very exciting. We will be participating in the fundraising night, as well as other efforts. If this becomes an annual event, next year you can be there J. We have been praying for Pari from the time we heard she might be coming. We will pray for you as you anticipate your return to BC. –Ok..I am jumping in my thoughts here…Pari has asked Sureyah if he would be her brother. (make my heart go thump). We will all welcome her in our lives. We will be supportive in any way we can.
Sureyah will be living on campus next year and in a leadership position in the international dorm. Very exciting. I think it will be an awesome experience for him and those around him! He will start more intense clinicals next year. It will be a big transition. He is doing well. He as joined the soccer team at Heritage Alliance Church…we went to the game last night. 6-0 for his team. He was so cute…he looks bulky because he has 4 layers of clothes on!!! But he sure has speed.”
We are all very proud of Sureyah, and we are glad to see he is doing well as he survives the cold weather and the polar bears in Canada. If there other stories of recent stories of Graduates- I would love to share them with you all. It is always great to see where God leads our students.
And now the Technical, Amazing, Graduating and bearish Wednesday Update.
Graduation: Tickets Available Now!
Graduation is coming up next Friday, May 13th, at 2 PM! This year, we are offering free tickets in order to estimate the number of guests. If you plan to come support our graduates, please have a student take a ticket for you, come get one in the office, or e-mail ccooper@logoscambodia.org to let us know. (You are still welcome without a ticket, but it is very helpful for us to predict numbers.) Thanks for your help! Go Class of 2011!

SUMMER SCHOOL 2011
Dear parents,
Summer is just around the corner and once again Logos will be offering some excellent summer activities for your children to be involved in. We have two groups of teachers coming this summer to work with us; one team is from Canada and the other from the U.S. The schedule will be posted soon, but activities will include swimming, puppets and drama, soccer, arts and crafts activities, gym games, mask making, dance, a sports camp for middle school students, and much MUCH more. With three sessions to choose from again this year, your children can sign up for the whole summer, or pick and choose the times that fit best around your family vacation time.
Stay tune for more details in the weeks to come.
